Mentoring Success Story

Five of my mentees of 3rd semester, shown great interest in learning the treatment of drinking water and drainage process. As these students are residents of South African Countries (South Sudan, Tanzania and Kenya), they do have ample of water from Nile River. Still they are deprived of clean drinking water. So to quench their thirst on this topic, I arranged a technical visit amid corona crisis. Visit was arranged on 16th December, 2020 at Nyari Water Filter Plant at Kalawad Road and Sewage Treatment Plant at Raiya after taking permission from Central and West Zone of Rajkot Municipal Corporation. The visit served an effective purpose to acquaint them with process involved in water purification. They got a deep insight on functioning of various components used for purification process for drinking water as well as waste water. This exposure will facilitate students to replicate the same phenomenon of purification in their country. Students are working to cater the need of purification in their country. They shall further recommend the detailed developed plan to their respective country.
